What Is PVD Coating?
PVD coating or Physical Vapor Deposition is an OEM approved advanced method of applying a highly protective finish to a wide range of materials. It is a time-tested proven technology that has been used for decades. 

Is Powder Coating Durable? 
The powder coating process uses a solvent free mix of quality resins and pigments that melt and fuse together when heated. Our PVD coating is designed against the toughest automotive OEM specifications and our quality materials hold up against corrosion, thermal shock, and UV exposure which makes it much more durable than traditional plated chrome. PVD coating is ideal for critical cast alloys, electro-coated substrates and non-metallic materials. After decades, it remains the finish of choice for a superior, longer lasting and durable finish.

Is it Environmentally Friendly?
PVD and Powder coating are environmentally friendly processes unlike solvent-based wet paint systems. With EPA regulations growing stricter every day, this process is the technology of choice.

What finishes does Blackhorse Wheels offer?
Our Powder Coatings are available in Bright PVD and Black PVD. We also offer finishes including Matte Black, Gloss Black and Textured Black.

What is your shipping method?
FedEx ground service is our preferred method of shipping, we do however ship UPS and USPS. Expedited and overnight service is available at additional cost. Our inventory is available for immediate release, and will ship within 24 hours of the purchase. Customized wheels will be shipped per the agreed upon time frame at time of order.  

Do you guarantee your parts?
We guarantee that the parts purchased from Blackhorse Wheels, will be quality parts and will meet your replacement needs. We guarantee that each of our OEM wheels will properly balance with a quality tire, will not vibrate, and will fit the vehicle correctly. However, there is no road or hazard warranty or liability on any wheel.

Do you purchase wheels?
Yes, we buy OEM factory wheels and rims. We purchase core wheels, used wheels, take off wheels, and new product. 

How quickly can I receive a wheel?
If you choose to buy a replacement wheel from our inventory it will ship within 24 hours. If you are requesting a custom finish it will ship at the agreed upon date upon your completed order.

What is an OEM wheel?
An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) wheel is one that was originally installed on the vehicle at the time of manufacture.

What is an Aftermarket wheel?
An aftermarket wheel is designed to fit the vehicle but the appearance and performance will differ from that of the original wheel.  Aftermarket wheels were not manufactured by the automobile manufacturer or were not manufactured specifically for a specific vehicle.  Quality can vary widely with aftermarket wheels.

How do I know the size of my wheel?
Check your owner’s manual or the size of the wheel will be stamped or cast on the inside of the wheel. You can also get the wheel size from the tire.  It will be the number to the right of the “R”. Example: P245/60R18, the 18 represents the wheel size.

How do I place an order?
Find the products you would like to purchase using our proprietary wheel finder search system. Simply click on the button to add the item to our shopping cart. When you are finished click on the checkout link and follow the instructions on our one-page checkout page. You will receive a series of emails that confirms your order, notifies you when your order is shipped and a final thank-you email to ensure you are satisfied and have an opportunity to have any remaining questions answered.

How quickly will I receive a wheel?
Many of our wheels are in stock and will ship within 24 hours. Wheels that are not in stock or customized will require final refinishing work prior to completing the order. You shipping time can vary from 2-7 business days.   

How do you ship?
We primarily use FedEx Ground. Expedited and overnight service is available at an additional cost. Please contact us for a quote.

What do I do if my wheels are damaged upon delivery?
Contact our customer service team by phone at 734-417-8381 and we will assist you with the damage claim and replacement process.

What should I do if my wheels do not arrive?
Please check the status of your order with the tracking number provided. If the tracking update indicates the order was delivered and you did not receive a package, please contact Blackhorse Wheels at 734-417-8381.

Do you charge a handling fee?
There will be no handling fee added to your order.

Do you ship to other countries?
No. Blackhorse Wheels only ships within North America (USA and Canada).
