Guess who has it? RUMOR has it! 18” Ram Hybrid Truck Wheels Fit Your Chevy!
Well, that’s direct and to the point, yeah? You bet your bottom dollar it is because we’re excited and we’re going there. The heart wants what the heart wants, isn’t that right? Far too often it’s something we can’t have, and historically there’s been a mess of fitment issues getting in the way of fitting some Ram wheels on a chevy, but- in 2022, that doesn’t appear to be the case at all. The rumor mill is aflutter, the 18” Ram Hybrid truck wheel will fit on your Chevy. Here’s why that should excite you.
Recently, Chevy and to their credit has gone balls to the wall on electrification and that’s sweet, the thing is, that asset allocation meant there really isn’t a badass off-road wheel package from GM that has a truly rugged look in the current lineup. After some more beep boopin’ internet research, we found that oddly enough- factory options for rugged wheel designs from GM were virtually non-existent through the last several generations of GMT. From what we can tell this is primarily because GM is super proud and has put a lot of attention into their large diameter polished aluminum wheels, and that’s totally cool. Those wheels can look fantastic, but they don’t exactly evoke the ruggedness and off-road-oriented design language that’s currently on-trend. That’s not exactly great news for our bow tie boys and girls, looking to upgrade their wheels with something in house. OR is it? Maybe it’s time to try another house.
What’s old is new again, and that’s what’s trending. To be fair, this combo never really went out of style, the small, rugged wheel, big tire combo is timeless like the flannel shirt, Coors Banquet Beer, or cutting a hole in the bottom of the popcorn bucket at the movie theatre (back when you could go to those). If you need convincing of that, watch Cobra Kai, or go to the nearest drive-in, if you need convincing to rock 18’s with some Beefer Sutherland rubber, look no further than the trucks that are killing the game right now. What current top-tier trim-level trucks from Ram and Ford are everybody talking about ad nauseam? What wheel trend edged out the lowered big-wheeled and rubber band tire trucks at SEMA in 2021? We’re talkin’ about Baja, Trophy Trucks, and the gosh-dang Wart Hog from Halo. It’s the current Zeitgeist, and we like it and you can bet your pet turtle it’ll be that way in November 2022. That’s not to say we don’t dig lowered trucks, and 28’s, it’s just that throughout our research we put our ear to the ground, you know, as you do. When we did, that’s when we heard it, and it was faint at first, but it got louder, more clear. It was the market, and it was a-talkin’.
Now back to the good news we have to offer you friends- we have the on-trend wheels, that fit your rig. We did all the homework, we looked at GM wheel options, but we also hooked the old peepers on the offsets, backspacing, bolt thread pitch, and pattern, pitter-patter let’s get at those stats, RIGHT?! Our 2022 18” Ram hybrid wheel is a direct bolt-on affair for all GMT400 to current-generation GMC and Chevy trucks.
That’s a lot of compatibilities, meaning if you have a GM Truck, or SUV 1986 to present you can rock a set of Ram 18” Hybrid wheels. We like the sound of that, and we hope you do too! If you have a favorite set of Badass factory GM wheels we missed, let us know what they are in the comments, we’d love to hear from you!
